The purpose of this study is to analyze centrality and diversity of the service local small towns supply in Korea. For this, in this study 178 small towns were classified by region(city region and county region) and by year(2000 and 2007) and were conducted paired t-test and correlation analysis. The main results of the research were arranged as follow. First, in centrality aspect of supplying service in the local small towns, it was higher in county region than city region. In the respect of recent 7 years change in centrality, only culture. sports services(1.00, t=2.52) showed a significant increase in city region while education services(0.09, t=2.05), culture. sports services(2.19, t=2.43), administrative service (1.70, t=3.32) showed significant increase in county region. Second, in the aspect of diversity in supplying service in the local small towns, the diversity was higher in the county region than city region. In the change in recent 7 years' diversity, culture. sports services(4.69, t=2.92), family rite service (11.22, t=3.24) showed considerable increase in the city region while there wasn't any filed which showed significant increase in county level local towns. Third, in the change in centrality and diversity in supplying service in local small towns, diversity increases rather than centrality in city region while centrality increase rather than diversity in county region. Fourth, the correlation analysis on centrality and diversity in supplying service in local small towns showed that there was a weak correlation between centrality and diversity in city region, and no correlation between centrality and diversity in county region. Puting those matter together, it's noticeable that county level local small towns carry on their role as the central base, but city level local small towns don't. Accordingly, local small town policy should be promoted with priority given to county region. And to reinforce local small towns' function, the diversity in supplying service should take precedence over the policy raising the centrality.
