Non-governmental exchange between China and Korea began before they established diplomatic relations, and received a fast development after the diplomatic relations established. Non-governmental exchange between China and Korea not only pushed the pace of establishing diplomatic relations between China and Korea, enhanced the exchange and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of politics, society, culture and sports etc, but also has played an irreplaceable role in the economic exchange and cooperation, industries transferring and industrial structure optimizing and upgrading. The governments of China and Korea should foster an easier environment for non-governmental exchange and protect non-governmental exchange by the greatest extent, promote the rapid and sound economic development of China and Korea by capitalizing the advantage of non-governmental exchange, and thus to help Asia, and indeed to the entire world to recover from the economic crisis.

중ㆍ한 민간교류는 양국 수교 전부터 이루어지고 있었지만 특히 1992년 수교 이후 더욱 빠른 속도로 발전해 왔다. 중ㆍ한 민간교류는 발전 속도가 빠르고 교 류의 내용이 광범위하며, 양국 관계 발전의 촉진제 역할을 하였다. 또한 중국과 한국 간의 정치, 사회, 문화, 체육 등 많은 영역에서의 교류와 협력을 강화해 주 는 역할을 할 뿐 아니라, 양국 간의 경제적 교류와 협력, 산업이전, 경제구조의 심화에도 큰 역할을 하고 있다. 중ㆍ한 양국 정부는 2012년 수교 20년을 맞이 하며 양국 민간교류의 활성화를 위한 정책환경을 개선하고, 민간교류를 최대한 지원함으로써 양국 경제의 교류와 발전을 촉진시키고 나아가 아시아와 세계경 제의 위기에서 탈출함은 물론 상호관계 발전을 위해 더욱 노력해야 할 것이다.
