The document of transfer of business(察訪解由文書) which was written by government for appointing the Chalbang(察訪), remained Ugok-do(幽谷道), Chaeu-do(自如道), Kimchun-do(金泉道), Eulbong-do(栗峯道), Keuyang-do (景陽道), Younwan-do(連原道), Osoo-do(獒樹道) and so on.
This style of chalbang-document(察訪解由文書) was recorded that arrival at post supervisor’s new post , post office(公廨), furnished supplies(備置物資), post staff(驛人), the possession of post horse(驛馬), financial situation and so on.
The post system in the Chosun Dynasty was a transporting facilities. It is true that the post served as an arterial mechanism as well as an organization of transport and communication in delivering official documents, transporting government supplies, entertaining envoys, offering accommodations and inspecting passers-by.
Chalbang-document of Chayou-do 『自如道察訪解由文書』 was recorded that arrival at Kim Na-kil(金洛一)’s new post, date of replacement, present of post staff(驛人), the possession of post horse, furnished supplies, finance and so on. and Chalbang-document of Ugok-do(幽谷道) is almost the same.
For this reason, Chalbang-document of Chayou-do(自如道) and Ugok-do (幽谷道) are invaluable materials for a history to help understanding the management of the post system.
