The current study aimed to elucidate problems of YongMoo-Do based on relevant literature including in-depth interviews with those involved in relation to the process until now in 2011 since it was established and as a result of examining the branch activation and globalization process of YongMoo-Do, the following findings were observed: First, Korea Yong Moo-Do Association should seek development through active support of activities of non-actors and construction and activation of consultative bodies in terms of branch activation. Second, as a result of investigating its implementation process focused on Indonesia in the globalization process, it was found that it adopted and distributed YongMoo-Do as martial arts for national defense, which served a key factor.

이 연구는 용무도가 창립 이후 2011년 현재까지 지나온 길을 관련자들과 심층면담을 비롯한 관련문헌을 토대로 용무도의 문제점을 도출하는 데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이에 관한 한국의 용무도 지부활성화와 인도네시아 보급 과정을 살펴 본 바 다음과 같은 내용을 알 수 있었다. 첫째, 대한용무도협회에서는 지부활성화 측면에서 비 활동단체의 적극적인 활동 지원과 자문기구의 구성 및 활성화를 통해서 발전을 모색해야 한다는 것이다. 둘째, 인도네시아를 중심으로 도입과정을 알아본 결과 인도네시아에서는 국방무술로 용무도를 채택하여 보급한 것이 중요한 요인으로 작용했다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
