Negation has garnered considerable interest over last couple of decades in syntax since generative-transformational grammar. In the generative-transformational grammar, the meanings of negative main sentences with subordinate clauses and sentences with negations of the subordinate clause are the same. However, these two sentences certainly have different meanings and intentions why negations in different sites are so frequently used in our daily conversation. In this study, we investigate whether Neg-Raising interpretations are restricted to cases where they carry only the smallest functional load and whether NR interpretations are applied in Korean. Moreover, we categorize five types Korean verb which are regarded as generating NR interpretation to observe which verb type has the strongest NR interpretations, which type has the weakest or which one does not have them. To support the research, we use e-prime 2.0 tool for two experiments
