The purpose of this study is to examine the lexical variation and lexical density shown in writing of KFL learners. In summary, first, the language-specific TTR of NNS subjects was no more than 40% of all. Second, the rate of TTR was as follows: Vietnamese < Japanese < Chinese. Third, TTR was in inverse proportional to text-length. Fourth, the analysis of titled word/morpheme TTR showed various aspects from their languages. Fifth, spoken text and written text were told to have less and more than 40% of LD respectively(McCarthy, 1990), yet the Korean learners' LD did not exceed 40% although the learners' LD was written text. Thus the theory of Faerch(1984) which states LD was decided by text-type seems to be more persuasive. Sixth, it was not easy to identify NNS and NS when a text type of LD was similar. Seventh, comparing to common noun which has high proportion of LD rate of NNS, verb was two times lower than that of common noun. Eighth, LD rank of NNS was followed by common noun, verb, adjective and common adverb
