This study aims to identify the differences Ulsan-Eupseong which were taken over features of the city and Byeongyoungseong that cut off from urban features and change that occurred in the abandoned barracks of Castle in the Empire of Japan occupation. The results of this study are as follows. In Ulsan-Eupseong that city functions inherited, urbanization could be found. But in Byeongyoungseong to cut off the city functions, it could be found that so-called 'Nongchonhwa' was underway.
