In this study, experimental research was carried out to improve the structural performance of high-strength reinforced concrete
interior beam-column joints using advanced intermediate reinforcement and closed stirrup.
Test result shows that retrofitting specimens(IJIR, IJIRCS) designed by the improvement of structural performance and ductility using advanced intermediate reinforcement and closed stirrup could attained more maximum load-carrying capacities and stable hysteretic behavior.
The maximum load-carrying capacities of each specimens were increased 1.3~1.32 times in comparison with standard specimen.
