The purpose of the study is to train dementia care managers by distance curriculum based on the investigation of needs to develop curriculums for more specialized dementia care managers. Subjects of this study were 144 graduates and Students of Seoul Cyber University and this study was collected from distance questionnaire at Seoul Cyber University homepage. This data was collected on October, 2007 and analyzed by SPSS 12.0. The findings of this study were as follow: First, more than 99 percents of respondents required the dementia care managers curriculum through distance education. Second, register intention of dementia care managers curriculum through distance education was reported that 82.6 percents of respondents want to have the education. Also, when dementia care managers curriculum through distance education opens, respondent required the education on ‘dementia symptomatical care’ and ‘communication method with the elderly having dementia’ the most, following with ‘understanding of dementia symptom’, ‘understanding of dementia on the medical aspect’, ‘need assessment of the elderly having dementia’ ‘service plan for the elderly having dementia’ ‘service available for the elderly having dementia’, and ‘non-medicine therapy for the elderly having dementia’. Thus, this study will analyze the distance curriculum for training dementia care manager into ‘understanding of the care for the elderly having dementia’, ‘the care technology for the elderly having dementia’, ‘dementia care management theory’, ‘role of dementia care manager’, and ‘practice of dementia care management’ based on the investigation result of needs in this study and literature review.

본 연구는 원격교육을 통해 보다 전문화된 치매케어매니저 양성을 위한 교육과정 개발 관련 기초적 수요를 조사함으로써 원격교육을 통한 치매케어매니저를 양성하는데 그 목 적 이 있다. 본 연구는 치매케어매니저 양성을 위한 교육과정에 대한 수요조사를 위하여 2007년 10월 한 달 동안 서울사이버대학교 졸업생 및 재학생을 대상으로 서울사이버대학교 홈페이지 를 통한 인터넷 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 그 결과 총 144부에 대한 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과를 살펴볼 때, 원격교육을 통한 치매케어매니저과정의 개설이 필요하 다고 응답한 비율이 99% 이상이었으며, 원격교육을 통한 치매케어매니저 교육과정에 대한 수강의향은 ‘교육을 받고 싶다’가 82.6%로 나타났다. 또한 원격교육을 통한 e-노 후생애설계 매니저과정에서 치매케어매니저과정이 개설될 경우, ‘치매증상별 케어방 법’과 ‘치매노인과의 의사소통방법’에 관한 교육을 가장 많이 요구하고 있었으며, 다음으로는 ‘치매증상 이해’, ‘치매의 의학적 특징 이해’, ‘치매노인 욕구사정방법’, ‘치매노 인의 서비스계획 수립방법’, ‘치매노인이 이용 가능한 서비스’, ‘치매노인에 대한 비약 물요법’ 순으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서의 수요조사 결과와 선행연구 결과를 바탕으로 원격교육을 통한 치 매케어매니저 양성교육과정은 ‘치매노인케어의 이해’, ‘치매노인케어기술’, ‘치매케어매니지먼트 이론’, ‘치매노인케어매니저의 역할’, ‘치매케어매니지먼트의 실제’로 구분하고자 한다.
