This study was to explore what child-care teachers think about recognition in community life and how they interpret it using narrative inquiry. especially in this process, we tried to explore 'how have person changed?' through understanding the part of the whole life as recognition. For this purpose, one of the research members in charge of a child-care center starts narratives as ‘I’, and 5 teachers working with her also participate in the narratives. Another member of the research team observes narratives and interviews on recognition experiences with ‘I’ and takes charge of reanalyzing them. Research team members share their stories about recognition through narrative inquiry, reflect on themselves as child-care managers or child-care teachers, and recollect what they feel when they are recognized or when they are not recognized. Research team members also work on bridging their differences on recognition through narratives and interviews. As a result, they confirm the importance of recognition experiences as core elements for human relationships in organizational culture, and find it necessary to further the follow-up studies in the educational field.

이 연구는 보육시설에 근무하는 교사들이 공동체적 삶 속에서 인정(recognition)에 대해 어떠한 생각을 가지고 있고, 이것에 어떠한 의미를 부여하고 있는지 내러티브 기법을 활용하였으며, 특히 이 과정에서 개인이 ‘인정’이라는 삶의 영역에 접근해감으로써 어떻게 변용되는지의 과정을 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구진행은 구체적으로 연구자들 중 한 명이 시설장으로서 ‘나’가 되어 이야기를 시작하였으며, 같은 시설에 근무하는 보육교사 5명이 내러티브에 참여하였다. 다른 연구자 한 명은 나와 보육교사의 인정 체험에 관한 서술과 인터뷰를 관찰하고 이를 재분석하는 역할을 담당하였다. 내러티브 탐색을 통해 연구 참여자들은 인정에 대한 자신의 이야기를 전개하며 시설장으로서 또 보육교사로서 자신을 돌아보고, 인정받았을 때와 인정받지 못했을 때의 감정을 정리하였다. 그리고 인정받고자 하는 자신의 욕구만큼 타인을 인정하는 배려의 문화가 필요하다는 사실을 알게 되었다고 이야기하였다. 연구자들은 인정에 대한 서로의 이야기 서술과 인터뷰를 통해 인정에 대한 다리놓기를 진행하였으며, 인간관계의 중요한 연결고리로서 조직 문화 속에서 ‘인정’ 체험의 중요성과 교육 현장에서 이에 대한 심층적 연구가 더 활발하게 진행될 필요가 있다는 것을 확인하였다.
