The purpose of this study was to investigate X-factor and X-factor stretch from elite golfers in Korea. Sixteen college male elite golf players participated in this study. Subjects used their own driver and swing five trials and 3-D motion analysis system was used to determine X-factor, X-factor stretch, effective X- factor, and the duration during the back swing phase. The results indicated that mean X-factor was 61.24o and mean X- Factor stretch was 65.60o. Mean effective X-factor was found as 4.36 and the average time difference was 0.09 second. These results were similar to the data of previous research in Korea but still below to the data of world top ranked professional golfers. Overall, it is indicated that the lead of low extremity can cause X-Factor stretch and it is functioned to produce late hitting at impact. This may affect to increase head speed and total ball flight distance.
