A Study on the Culture Contents of 'Bukchon' in the movie and play - About movie 「The Day he Arrives」and play 「Snow of march」 Kim, Youn-Mi Culture contents are a part dealt with in cultural industries, closely connected to the cultural identify of a certain group. In this sense, this study focused on the spatial identity of 'Bukchon' which has changed according over time. 'Bukchon' was the symbol of the ruling class's residing region in the Joseon Dynatsy, and was symbolized as a traditional housing region as well as a national space as a starting place of all racial movements. But 'Bukchon' has changed as a unique - typed space with modern and pre-modern looks mixed, as restrictions in development have been repeatedly imposed or lifted. In movie The Day he Arrives, it was possibile to adopt a metaphor to express what has been lost on 'Bukchon.' As this movie was filmed in black and white, 'Bukchon' is fixed in the time of past. And it is getting an tourism attraction due to the traces of the time. Regardless of Jang-oh sitting with a gloomy face, lovers taking a picture against of the old house and Japanese tourists' vitality show the difference between Bukchon's image existing in reality and that seen by tourists. The historicity and daily routine due to Bukchon's uniqueness functions as a kind of aura to tourists. The movie The Day he Arrives tells us about 'Bukchon' in a view fo a stroller wandering the outside of 'Bukchon' using traces and memories lodged in the inside of 'Bukchon.' Like this, 'Bukchon' is settled down as a cultural content through soap operas. The old historicity of 'Bukchon' will be newly remodelled like 'Hanok' and change into a commercial space where its natives have left. But 'Bukchon' is likely to be assembled into a source of a new story due to its drama - characteristics and because of such features as a drama 'Bukchon' will be meaningful and become an emotional space consumed with the edition for another story.
