The purpose of this study is to widely introduce Musul Seonae(戊戌 西內) version of the Cheonjamun(千字文), one of the Saegim(새김) materials of the recent Korean written language. Another purpose is to examine several features of the recent Korean appearing in this literature. For these purposes this study explores major features in this version such as bibliographical forms, writing system and phonological systems. This Musul Seonae(戊戌 西內) version of the Cheonjamun(千字文) was published in the 4th lunar month in 1898, the year of Musul(戊戌). Like Seokbong(石峰) Cheonjamun(千字文), Musul Seonae(戊戌 西內) version also belongs to the Yeol(烈) version family. And also Musul Seonae(戊戌 西內) version belongs to Imsul haenggok(壬戌杏谷) version family. This Musul Seonae (戊戌 西內) version of the Cheonjamun(千字文), on the one hand, plays an important role as a mirror of the Korean language by reflecting on common features at that time. 이 글은 19世紀末 새김 資料인 戊戌孟夏西內新刊本 千字文을 새로 發掘하여 紹介하 고, 書誌, 表記, 音韻 등 主要特徵을 考察한 것이다. 戊戌孟夏西內新刊 千字文은 1898년 陰曆 4月에 ‘西內’에서 刊行한 千字文이다. 漢文構成이 石峯千字文과 같은 ‘烈’字本 系統이며, 板本과 國語學的 特徵面에서 壬戌杏谷開刊本 千字文, 乙巳季冬完山新刊本 千字文과 같은 系統이다. 戊戌孟夏西內新刊本 千字文은 全羅方言을 反映한 文獻으로 近代國語末葉의 一般的 모습을 보이면서도 이와는 다른 모습을 지니고 있다. 音韻現象이나 語彙 중 어떤 것은 方言形으로 보인다. 어떤 것은 現在 全羅方言에서만 찾아 볼 수 있는 것인데, 全羅方言을 反映한 비슷한 간행 時期 문헌에서도 쉽게 찾아볼 수 있다. 音韻現象 중 어떤 것은 律讀에서 起因한 것으로 보인다. 19世紀末 全羅 方言史 資料로 價値가 있다.
