The study aims to identify the difference in perception by elementary-middle integrated school teachers on principal's leadership and school organizational effectiveness, and analyze the impact of elementary-middle integrated school principal's leadership on school organizational effectiveness.
The study revealed the following research outcomes. First, the principal's leadership perceived by elementary-middle integrated school teachers was found to be goal oriented, human oriented, and bureaucrat oriented in order of significance, and especially goal and human orientations were highly recognized. Second, the average of school organizational effectiveness perceived by elementary-middle integrated school teachers in overall was shown to be comparatively high. The subcategories corresponding to the results included organizational devotion, organizational adaptation, organizational performance, and occupational satisfaction.
Third, the principal's leadership and school organizational effectiveness in elementary-middle integrated schools showed a significant positive correlation in terms of human and goal orientations, whereas a significant negative correlation in terms of bureaucrat orientation. In addition, the principal's leadership in elementary-middle integrated schools was found to have a positive impact on school organizational effectiveness, and the leadership impacted human and goal orientations in order of importance.
In conclusion, the results proved that the principal's leadership in elementary-middle integrated schools affected school organizational effectiveness in a significant manner. In case where the principal reduces their bureaucrat oriented leadership while activating their human and goal oriented leadership, the school organizational effectiveness is expected to be improved, and the reflection of such positive leadership on institutional programs into promotion and career system may contribute to raising the school organizational effectiveness.

본 연구는 초；중 통합운영학교 학교장 리더십과 학교조직효과성에 대한 교사들의 인식 차이를 알아보고, 학교장 리더십과 학교조직효과성 간의 관계를 분석하는 데 목적을 두었다.
연구 결과는 첫째, 교사가 인식한 초；중 통합운영학교 학교장의 리더십은 목표지향적, 인간지향적, 관료지향적 순으로 나타났고 목표지향적과 인간지향적을 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초；중 통합운영학교 교사가 인식한 학교조직효과성의 전체 평균은 대체로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 하위요인별로는 조직헌신, 조직적응, 직무성과, 직무만족 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초；중 통합운영학교 학교장 리더십과 학교조직효과성은 인간지향적, 목표지향적에서 통계적으로 유의한 정적 상관관계를 보였고, 관료지향적에서는 통계적으로 유의한 부적 상관관계를 였다. 또한 초；중 통합운영학교 학교장 리더십이 학교조직효과성에 유의한 긍정적인 영향을 미치며 학교장 리더십이 인간지향적, 목표지향적 순으로 영향을 미치고 있었다.
이러한 연구 결과에 따라 초；중 통합운영학교 학교장 리더십이 학교조직효과성에 유의한 영향을 미친다는 결론을 얻을 수 있다. 학교장이 관료지향적 리더십은 낮추고 초등학교 교사에게는 목표지향적 리더십을, 중학교 교사에게는 인간지향적 리더십을 발휘한다면 학교조직효과성을 높일 수 있을 것이다. 또한 제도적으로 이러한 리더십을 함양할 수 있는 프로그램을 승진제도에 반영한다면 학교조직효과성을 높이는 데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
