The Edo(江戶) period manuscript copy of Hwaeom-munui-yogyeol-mundap(華嚴文義要決問答) owned by Todai-ji(東大寺) library is not ancient scroll, but more similar to ancient scrolls of Hwaeom-munui-yogyeol-mundap pre-owned by Sato Tatsujiro(佐藤達次郞) or owned by Enryaku-ji(延曆寺) than later copies. And due to such similarity, it had many influence on later copies of Hwaeom-munui-yogyeol- mundap owned by Matsubara collection in Todai-ji library and owned by Kyoto University Library. Therefore we can evaluate that the Edo period manuscript copy was a link between ancient scrolls and later copies, and it is important to textual bibliography of Hwaeom-munui-yogyeol-mundap.

東大寺에 소장된 江戶時代 寫本 『華嚴文義要決問答』은 비록 고사본은 아니지만 다른 후대 사본들에 비해 書名이나 내용에서 고사본인 佐藤本이나 延曆寺本 『華嚴文義要決問答』에 가까운 모습을 지니고 있다. 그리고 이러한 특성 때문에 후대 사본인 松原文庫本이나 京都大本 『華嚴文義要決問答』에도 여러 가지 영향을 끼쳤다. 따라서 이 東大寺 江戶時代 寫本은 고사본들과 다른 후대 사본들을 이어주는 위치에 있으며, 『華嚴文義要決問答』의 원문 교감에도 중요한 자료가 된다고 평가할 수 있다.
