Among many recessed architectural remains that take a great portion of plane-typed Buddhist temple in Chosun Dynasty, this study has understood the plane characteristics of No. 18 building (located in block of the original palace of Kyungryungjeon) which is considered as one of the earliest ones and estimated the upper part of the architect. Compared with other contemporary recessed architectural remains, it is thought that No.18 building was built in plane type relatively earlier than them and it seems to have the typical recessed plane that needs less inner columns unlike the architectures of Song, Yo and Kum Dynasties whose columns are relatively easy to reduce or move. With the size of stereobate and the dynamics with protrusion of the eaves considered, gambrel seemed to be a reasonable type of its roof and this assumption was supported by the same observation from the analysis of the contemporary architectural remains. The side part of the architecture could be estimated as having 2 Goju and 2 Jungryng architectural through looking into the architectural remains designed in Youngjo method and of Korea Dynsdty. And its inner high columns can be designed in structure of 2 Goju and 7 Rangga which support the vertical beams in the inner architecture.

연구는 조선시대 불전 평면형식에 있어 많은 비중을 차지하고 있는 후퇴형 건축유구 중 가장 이른 시기 평면유구 중 하나로 판단되는 18호 건물지(고려 본궐 경령전 일곽내에 위치)에 대해 평면특성 및 이에 따른 상부가구에 대해 추정해 보았다. 18호 건물지는 동시대 후퇴형 건축유구와 비교 분석한 결과 비교적 이른 시기의 평면형식으로 판단되며, 이는 동시대 중국(송, 요, 금대) 건축에서 보이는 비교적 자유로운 감주나 이주와는 달리 전면 내주열만 감주하는 전형적인 후퇴칸 평면을 취하고 있다. 지붕형태는 기단의 크기와 처마내밀기 관계 등을 고려해 본 결과 맞배지붕이 합리적일 것으로 판단되며, 이에 대해서는 동시대 건축유구에 대한 분석결과에서도 동일한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 측면가구는 영조법식(四架椽屋 札牽對三椽栿用三柱)과 고려시대 건축유구를 통해 2고주 2중량 가구로 추정할 수 있으며, 내부 가구는 내고주가 종보를 받치고 있는 2중량, 7량가 구조로 계획할 수 있었다.
