A Study on Risk Assessment for the Analysis of Heavy Metals and VOCs in the Hyeongsan River

The purpose of this study was to get nano-analysis on heavy metals and volatile organic compounds of river water located in the Hyeongsan River by using of ICP and GC/MS. In this research it has been analyzed the contents of eight heavy metal (Hg, Cd, As, Zn, Cu, Fe, Pb and Cr6+) and seven VOCs (PCE, TCE, 1,1,1-TCE, benzene, Toluene, ethylbenzene and Xylene) of river water as specific pollutants for health in order to recognize be suited to as drinking water, had assigned twentyfour river water place in the Hyeongsan River. It has been shown that basic data of minerals components, micro inorganic materials, biochemical oxygen demand, dissolved oxygen, water temperature, pH, suspended solid, electric conductivity, coliform group. The results of this study are as following ; It has been shown that all of them generally were suited to as standard of river water with the exception of total escherichia coli. group for river water in the Hyeongsan River. Also some heavy metal, that is, nano unit amounts of asenic and zinc were detected by inductively coupled plasma method, but the rest of them were not detected. On the other hand volatile organic compounds materials were not detected at all.
Finally this study must mentioned as following; river water places in the Hyeongsan River has been relatively not much are compared with other cities, really many people have positive opinion on available of this places because of very closed distance from people's living place and amounts of water quantity are very much to get it. Therefore the expansion of equipments on emergency water feeding which ground water are very clean and safe are good business for life convenience of regional citizens. Therefore it has been shown that suggested alternatives on the risk assessment for human being health.
