This study aims to investigate the correlation between mothers' parenting stress and burnout and their parenting behaviors and parenting efficacy. As for research subjects, 381 mothers were selected who have children at the ages between 3 and 5 going to private kindergartens in the southern area of Kyonggi Province. As a result of carrying the research, there was a high correlation found between mothers' high parenting stress and burnout and their negative parenting efficacy and parenting behaviors. It was also found that not only do the high parenting stress and burnout perceived by mothers reduce mothers' positive parenting efficacy, but increase their negative parenting efficacy. Besides, in their parenting behaviors, they were found to show negative behavior features more often, such as less affectionate, less attendant, more authoritative, more regulative and even overprotective. Accordingly, in consideration of the fact that mothers' parenting stress and burnout are cognitive elements having negative effect on their parenting efficacy and parenting behaviors, it is needed to carry out parental education and training about emotional resilience for mothers to flexibly cope with various kinds of stress experienced by mothers.

본 연구는 어머니의 양육스트레스 및 소진과 양육행동 및 양육효능감 간의 관계성을 알아보는데 목적이 있었다. 연구의 대상은 경기남부지역 사립유치원에 재원 중인 만 3세부터 만 5세 유아의 어머니 381명이다. 연구결과, 어머니의 높은 양육스트레스와 소진은 어머니의 부정적 양육효능감 및 부정적 양육행동과 높은 상관을 보였다. 어머니가 지각하는 높은 양육스트레스와 소진은 어머니의 긍정적인 양육효능감을 저하시키고 부정적 양육효능감을 증가시킬 뿐 아니라, 양육행동에도 덜 애정적이고 덜 참여적이며, 권위주의적이고 통제적이며 과잉보호와 같은 부정적 행동을 많이 보인다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 양육스트레스와 소진이 양육효능감과 양육행동에 영향을 미치는 인지적 요소라는 점을 고려할 때, 어머니가 경험하는 다양한 스트레스에 유연하게 대처할 수 있도록 어머니에게 정서적 탄력성에 대한 부모교육과 훈련을 실시 할 필요가 있다.
