Most of Korean Vocational High School students want to go on to college. To study in college, the Vocational High School graduates must have the scholastic ability. The Purpose of this study is to find the determinants of vocational high school student’s College Scholastic Ability Test scores in Korea. In this study, KEEP 1st wave(2004) and 4th wave(2007), developed by KRIVET, were used in analyses. Hierarchical Linear Model was used to analyze the influences of personal level and school level variables at once. In the results of analyses, the influences of school class related variables such as class atmosphere and teacher's ability on student’s College Scholastic Ability Test scores were found in 2004 data. But in 2007 data, the influences of class related variables weren't found in 2007 data, but the influence of private education was found. That is, the policy that to give opportunity to vocational school students increased the influence of private education. And the positive influence on mathematics score from supplementary lessons in school was found. The influences of family factor were not found much in both data. The implications of these results of analysis were discussed.

전문계 고등학생의 상당수가 대학에 진학하고자 한다. 따라서 전문계 고등학생들이 대학교에 진학하여 수학할 수 있는 능력을 가질 수 있도록 학교가 지원할 필요가 있다. 이 수학능력을 측정하는 시험이 대학수학능력시험이다. 본 연구는 전문계 고등학생의 대학수학능력시험 성적에 영향을 미치는 학교 관련 요소를 분석하였다. ｢한국교육고용패널｣자료를 이용하여 전문계 고등학생의 2004년과 2007년의 수능시험 성적에 영향을 미치는 요소를 분석하였다. 개인수준과 학교수준의 영향을 동시에 투입하여 분석하기 위하여 다층분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 2004년에는 수업과 관련된 변수인 수업분위기, 교사의 실력 등이 전문계 고등학생의 수능시험 성적에 중요한 영향을 미쳤다. 3년 후인 2007년에는 진학지원 수업을 비롯한 학교수준 변수들이 긍정적 영향을 보이지 못하고 사교육의 영향이 크게 나타났다. 즉, 대학진학 기회를 주기 위한 정책이 시행되었지만 학교의 수능 시험에 대한 영향은 감소하고 사교육의 영향이 크게 증가하였다. 다만 수리과목의 성적에는 진학지원 수업이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 전문계 고등학교 교육에 변화가 필요함을 보여준다.
