In these days, Russia, China, India, and Central Asia are emerging, then the importance of Eurasia is increasing on the strategy of Foreign Affairs and Security of Korea. Especially, cooperation with Russia, which is the center of Eurasia and energy-rich country, is very important for the future of Korea. The economic relation of Korea-Russia needs to confirm the communal strategic interest between Korea and Russia and aim for the overall and multilateral collaboration under the recognition of detour and bridgehead for launching to Eurasia, not to be limited by just bilateral relation. In other words, Korea has to construct a visible foundation to enter into emerging Eurasia through the strategic economic cooperation. Therefore this study provides the way of strategic economic cooperation between Korea and Russia. To achieve this, South Korea-North Korea-Russia's Triangle Economic Cooperation, Participation in Russia's Far East Development, and Expansion in Energy Cooperation are suggested as directions of Strategic Economic Cooperation.

최근 러시아를 비롯하여 중국, 인도, 중앙아시아 국가 등이 부상하면서 유라시아대륙이 한국의 외교안보 및 경제통상 전략에서 차지하는 중요성이 더욱 높아지고 있다. 대륙과 해양의 양면성을 가고 있는 한반도가 그동안 해양에 치우친 국가발전전략의 벡터를 유라시아 지역으로 전환하여 대륙으로 열린 ‘기회의 창’을 활용하는 전략이 필요하다. 이러한 점에서 유라시아대륙의 중심부에 위치하고, 풍부한 에너지자원을 보유한 러시아와의 협력은 한국의 미래를 위해 매우 중요하다. 한-러 경제관계는 양자관계 그 자체로 제한되는 것이 아니라 유라시아대륙 진출의 우회로이자 교두보라는 인식 속에서 러시아와 공동의 전략적 이해관계를 확인하고, 이를 실현하기 위해 전면적이고 다각적인 협력에 착수해야 한다. 즉 한국은 러시아와의 전략적 경제협력을 통해 부상하는 유라시아대륙 진출의 물적 토대를 구축해야 한다. 따라서 이논문은 한국과 러시아간의 전략적 경제협력 방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 중요하다고 판단되는 남-북-러 삼각경제협력, 러시아 극동지역 개발참여, 그리고 한-러 에너지협력 등을 중심으로 전략적 협력 방안을 제시하였다.
