The importance of The North-East Asia countries economic cooperation can be tra ced back in the 90s amidst a world economy which tends to be more globalized but a compa gnied with some economic blocks and economic protectionism. Amidst such an environment, The North-East Asia countries try to try to break through but not without difficulties. As one of The North-East Asia important countries, Korea considers The Korea-Ru ssia Economic Cooperation to play an important role in terms of surmounting The North-Eas t Asia countries economic limitations. Above all, The Far East geo-economic position and th e economic cooperation with the Maritime Province of Siberia is very important. Therefore, a mutual corporation with Russia can pave the way for a successful economic cooperation in t he North-East Asia region. Korea, with its easy way of economic corporation, can change the present political s ituation. Russia with it's 70 years of socialism is now facing difficulties such as integrating the International Stock Index. Especially in the fields of food stuffs, home appliances, clothin g industry, etc, the income is so high that we can't but expect a lot from the trade between Korea and Russia. Therefore, through the drive of the logistic inflation, the free trade activat ion, the two parties should lay a clear trade scheme. Also, the comparative advantage of the trade between Korea and Russia can bring about the whole The North-East Asian countries economic balance. In order to improve the trade relations between Korea and Russia, the two countries have to revitalize their horizontal specializations develop their natural resources. And there're three things to consider, the respective government has to decide upon a positive trade impro vement, establish a master plan of a long-run import and export. And that should include N orth-Korea. North-Korea participation in the Korea-Russia corporation refers to the railway connection, by then reducing the logistic charges, which will not only enlarge the gates to k orean products abroad but also increasing profits and leading the North-East Asian countries corporation. So, we can see that North-korea's participation centered on the North-East Asia region is something to take into consideration because certainly profitable to all the countries of the North-East Asia region.

동북아 국가간의 상호경제협력 중요성은 1990년대에 나타난 세계화와 지구촌 경제의 블록화 및 보호주의가 심화되어 이 지역 국가들도 상호간의 협력의 중요성이 대두되고 있지만 그해결책을 모색하는데 어려움을 겪고 있다. 동북아시아의 중심국가로 부상하기 위하여 노력하는 있는 우리나라의 입장에서는 러시아, 특히 지리적 경제적으로 근접한 극동지역의 중심지인 연해주와의 경제협력이 무엇보다 중요하다. 러시아와의 상호협력의 성과에 따라 동북아 중심국가로 발돋움할 수 있는 기틀을 마련할 수 있을 것이다. 러시아 또한 동북아 4개국 중 가장 믿을 만하고 받아들이기 쉬운 한국과의 경제협력으로 현 정국을 타개하고자 할 것이다. 러시아는 70여 년간의 사회주의체제로 인하여 산업구조간의 불균형이 심화되어 개방 초기에 극심한 국제수지 불균형을 겪게 되었다. 특히, 음식료품, 가전제품 및 의류산업 등의 소비재 산업부문에서는 수입의존도가 아주 높아 한국과의 상호교역에 대한 기대감이 높다. 따라서 한국과 러시아의 자유무역협정의 활용, 물류 인프라 구축, 자유경제무역지대의 활성화 등을 통하여 상호 교역의 활성화 방안을 모색하여야 할 것이다. 또한, 한국과 러시아 사이의 교역은 양국의 비교우위에 바탕을 두고, 더불어 동북아 전체의 균형발전을 이룩한다는 대 전제하에서 이루어져야한다. 한국과 러시아의 교역 증대를 위해서 수평적 분업을 활성화하며, 미개발된 부존자원을 개발하여 국가 간의 공유가 과제이다. 한국과 러시아 간의 교역의 증대는 앞서 논한 3가지 이외에도 양국 정부의 교역증대를 위한 적극성, 장기적인 수출증대의 마스터플랜을 수립, 그리고 북한을 참여를 적극적으로 유도하여한다. 북한의 한국과 러시아 협력에의 참가는 남․북한 철도를 연결한 한반도종단철도를 이용함으로써 물류비를 절감하여 한국 제품의 대외 경쟁력을 증대시킬 뿐 아니라 북한의 수익증대와 더불어 동북아 협력에로의 참여를 이끌어낼 수 있다. 이렇게 함으로써 한국은 북한의 참여로 동북아 지역의 중심으로 발돋움할 수 있는 계기를 마련하고, 나아가 다자간 협력방안을 모색하여 동북아 국가 모두에게 경제적 이익을 얻게 하는 시너지효과를 기대할 수 있을 것이다.
