To study on personal traits of college students specializing in dance, I ran comparative analysis with other university students of different majors, and come to the conclusion as follows. 1. In the area of dominance, dance-majoring students show lower figures than other students. 2 . In the area of reflection, dance-majoring students also show lower figures than other students. 3. In the area of the clinical scales(depression, anxiety, paranoia, autism, neurosis), both students do not show significant difference. In the area of dominance and reflection, showing significant differences of both students are possible to be seen as personalities, but it is closer if we see it as a phenomenon shown when dance-majoring students concentrate on their artistic traits and technical training. Showing low reflection is worrying situation, therefore it is necessary to get rid of mental stress by practicing positive leisure activities.

무용전공 대학생의 성격특성을 연구하기 위하여 일반학과 전공대학생과의 비교연구 및 고찰 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 1. 지배성에서 전통무용 전공학생이 일반학과 전공학생보다 매우 낮은 형태로 나타났다. 2. 사려성에서 전통무용 전공학생이 일반학과 전공학생보다 매우 낮은 형태로 나타났다. 3. 임상척도는 일반학과 전공학생과 전통무용 전공학생이 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다 4. 발레, 현대무용, 째즈댄스 전공학생은 일반학과 전공학생과 유의차를 보이지 않았다 무용전공 대학생의 성격특성에서 지배성과 사려성의 유의차를 보이는 점은 전통무용 전공 대학생이 학습과정 심화현상과 기계적이고 수동적인 무용교육과정에서 올 수 있는 특수현상으로 분석 된다 지배성과 사려성이 낮은 형태는 개선할 필요가 있기 때문에 여가활동을 적극적으로 실시하여 심리적 스트레스를 해소하고 자율적이며 창의적 교육방법을 활용하여 사고력을 기르고 창조적 예술작품을 만들 수 있는 자의적 창조능력을 향상 시킬 필요가 있다.
