The purpose of this study is to analyze the validity and reliability of open-ended and closed-ended CVM, the most CVM method. To achieve this, this study made the subjects for our study from the people visiting Yeoncheon festival for the longevity assisted by Herbal medicine to ask their willingness to pay through the two types of open-ended and closed-ended CVM for worth estimation. In this study, the open-closed CVM was analyzed by Tobit model and closed-ended CVM by binary logistic regression. The major summary of this study is as follows. First, the sum by willingness for person for open-ended CVM appeared as 9,231won and for closed-ended CVM as 6.880won. Second, in open-ended CVM appeared, awareness, necessity, yes or no for maintenance, residence, income level appeared to have affected the WTP positively, and visit frequency, necessity, satisfaction, yes or no for maintenance, residence and job appeared to have affected the WTP positively. Third, the comparison of open-ended and closed-ended CVM turned out the sum by WTP estimated by the both CVMs. But, on t-test statistic value base, the sum by WTP by closed-ended CVM proved to be more excellent than by open-ended CVM. Fourth, the comparison of open ended and closed-ended CVM in their reliability closed-ended CVM turned out better than open-ended CVM in model fit, significance of independent variable and consentaneity in results.

본 연구의 목적은 CVM의 대표적 기법인 개방형 CVM과 폐쇄형 CVM의 타당성과 신뢰성을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 영천한약장수축제 방문객을 대상으로 개방형과 폐쇄형의 두 가지 유형으로 WTP를 물어 가치추정을 하였다. 본 연구에서 개방형 CVM은 Tobit 모형, 폐쇄형 CVM은 이분형로지스틱모형을 통해 분석하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개방형 CVM의 1인당 WTP는 9,231원이고, 폐쇄형 CVM의 1인당 WTP는 6,880원으로 추정되었다. 둘째, 개방형 CVM에서는 인지도, 필요성, 지속유지 찬반, 거주지, 소득수준이 WTP에 정(+)의 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났고, 폐쇄형 CVM에서는 방문횟수, 필요성, 만족도, 지속유지 찬반, 거주지, 직업이 WTP에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 개방형 CVM과 폐쇄형 CVM의 타당성을 비교할 때, 양 CVM에 의해 추정된 WTP는 모두 타당성을 갖는 것으로 판단된다. 다만 t-test의 통계량 값을 기준으로 할 때, 개방형보다는 폐쇄형 CVM에 의한 WTP가 더 우수한 것으로 판단된다. 넷째, 개방형 CVM과 폐쇄형 CVM의 신뢰성을 비교할 때, 모형의 적합도, 독립변수의 유의성, 그리고 결과일치성의 모두에서 폐쇄형 CVM이 개방형 CVM 보다 우수한 것으로 나타났다.
