This study was conducted to understand the meaning and essence of the re-employment experience of the Korean-Chinese women using a feminist perspective and phenomenological method. The participants for this study were 7 Korean-Chinese women who have lost their jobs for over one year. The data for this analysis was collected by in-depth interviews conducted more than two times, and lasted up to 2 hours for each participant. The essential theme is ‘challenge of life’. This finding will help develop a feminist and social welfare intervention that supports an ethnic minority, Korean-Chinese women who have lost their jobs.
