The present study shows that the curriculums for domestic medical tourism experts consist of 6 different curriculums that include the areas of medical tour coordinators, medical tour marketing specialists, medical tour interpreters and translators, medical tour publicity experts, hospital coordinators, and medical tour MBA course. When curriculums of both domestic and international medical tourism institutions are analyzed, there is not much difference in them and medical tourism training courses are being operated in a similar way. The curriculums are generally divided into basic and advanced courses depending on who the attendees are. In the case of the international medical tourism, the survey shows that most medical colleges are in charge of medical tourism expert certification programs with the exception of few universities. It is also shown that government offices, medical institutions, educational institutions, tourism-related institutions and agencies cooperate with each other to develop international medical tourism experts.

국내 의료관광전문인력 교육과정에는 의료관광코디네이터과정, 의료관광마케팅전문가 과정, 의료관광통번역사과정, 의료관광홍보전문가 과정, 병원코디네이터과정, 의료관광 MBA과정 등 6개의 교육과정으로 운영되고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 국내ᆞ외의료관광 전문인력 양성교육기관의 교육과정을 종합분석해보면, 대다수 교육기관의 교육내용들이 뚜렷한 차이점이 없이 유사한 내용의 교육과정으로 구성되어 있는 것으로 조사되었으며, 교육기관의 경우에는 교육대상에 따라 기본과정, 심화과정, 등으로 세
분화하여 교육을 실시하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 국외 의료관광 전문인력양성은 일부 대학교를 제외하면 의과대학내에서 의료관광전문인력을 양성하고 있는 것으로 조사결과 나타났으며, 국외 의료관광 전문인력양성은 정부행정기관, 의료기관, 교육기관, 관광관련기관 및 에이전시 등이 상호 유기적인 네트워크 구축을 통한 통합관리 형태로 이루어지고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
