This study aims to preserve vanishing traditions of our traditional games by allowing individuals to encounter the traditional games closely and more specifically, provide educational assistance through Sunhak-ly Gigae play that is centered on actual experiences. Through providing Sunhak-ly Gigae play as an experience-based educational program to elementary school students, they will be able to learn traditional rhythms and various moves. Furthermore, this program will provide opportunities for students to take pride in own regional cultures and establish their identity as Koreans. In order to traditional dance education within elementary schools through gigae play, sufficient amounts of research has been done along with collecting data from the Office of Cultural Properties and the provincial government building. Field survey methods were used to collect data which included recording, video taping, taking pictures, interviewing, rhythm transcription and so on. Based on the data collected, annual class schedule has been proposed which suggests compositions and contents of Sunhak-ly program and educational uses of rhythm. the following conclusions were drawn from these research purposes. 1. Instead of instruments that create rhythms such as drums, Jango, kkwaenggari, gongs that are usually played, mouth and implement can be used to make rhythms. These replacements can create a variety of sounds that can be further expressed through body movements which will help traditional rhythms be understood better 2. Making each scene into stories, expressing feelings aroused by gooum or sounds impromptu, using various kinds of instruments like Gigae, sticks, Gilmook(twig) to make rhythms and displaying various traits of these different instruments when making body moves are suggested. 3. The goal of this program is to enable elementary school students to understand and protection our traditions and cultures. In achieving this goal effectively, the program can bring positive outcomes by allowing students to actively participate in experiencing local arts in many regions.

본 연구는 사라져가는 우리의 전통놀이을 보존 발전 전승 할 수 있도록 하기위해 본인이 가까이서 접해보고 친숙한 선학리 지게놀이를 통해 체험 중심의 교수 학습 자료의 토대를 제공하고자 한다. 선학리 지게놀이를 지역의 초등학교 어린이들에게 체험 중심의 교육프로그램으로 활용함으로써 우리고유의 리듬, 움직임을 자연스럽게 몸으로 체득할 수 있는 장이 될 것이며 또한 이들에게 지역의 자부심과 지역 문화를 보존하고 더 나아가 한국인의 정체성 확립의 기회를 제공하고자한다. 지게놀이를 통한 초등학교 무용교육 활성화 방안에 관하여 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 문헌연구는 물론 문화재관리국과 도청의 문화예술과 등에 자료를 수집하였으며 녹음, 비디오 촬영, 사진촬영, 제보자인터뷰, 장단 채보 등을 통한 현장조사 방법을 사용하였다. 이를 바탕으로 선학리 지게놀이의 구성 및 놀이내용, 장단의 교육적 할용 방안을 고찰하여 연간 수업계획안을 제시하였다. 위와 같은 연구목적과 방법으로 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 장단을 만들어 내는 악기가 우리가 흔히 알고 있는 북, 장고, 꽹가리, 징, 외에 입과 지게라는 기구를 가지고 다양한 소리 장단의 변화를 만들어내고 거기서 울리는 소리의 느낌을 움직임으로 표현하고 이를 통해 우리의 장단을 몸으로 이해하는데 좋은 자료가 될 수 있음을 알았다. 2. 지게놀이 구성 마다 가지는 내용을 이야기로 만들고 구음이나 노래 소리를 통해 느껴지는 감정을 즉흥적으로 표현하고 지게 및 작대기, 쥘목 등 여러 기구를 사용하여 다양한 리듬을 만들어 내고 기구의 특성을 살려 여러 모양의 형태를 표현해보고 그에 적합한 움직임을 만들어 볼 수 있는 좋은 자료가 된다. 3. 초등학교에서 우리의 전통과 문화를 이해하고 애호하는 태도 육성하는데 목표를 두고 있다. 이러한 목표를 효과적으로 달성하기 위해서는 각 지역에 숨겨있는 향토예술을 수업현장 활용을 통하여 직접체험에 참여 하게하여 두드리고, 뛰어보고, 다루어 봄으로써 더 나은 효과를 기대 할 수 있는 자료가 된다.
