HABGT와 MMPI-Ⅱ의 Sc척도에서는 두 집단간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 이러한 결과에 따르면, 정신증이 있는 양극성장애는 사고장애가 현저한 급성기에는 정신분열증 보다 사고장애가 더 심각하였으며, 정신분열증은 현실검증력과 시공간구성능력의 손상이 두드러진 반면에 정신증적 양극성장애는 지각적 왜곡과 기태적 사고가 더 심하였다. 더불어, 두 장애를 감별하기 위해서는 로샤 검사와 CDT의 Rouleau의 채점체계가 유용하였다.
