This study is on the bodice pattern of Korean women in their 20s according to body type. The purpose of the study is to suggest an idea to minimize errors between single bodice patterns and different body types and overcome the limitations of single bodice patterns by taking people's physical shapes into account. It can be concuded that the best idea to satisfy the efficiency of mass production and consider the differences of individual physical shapes in realistic ways is fractionalization of patterns. Accordingly before the commercialization of future 3D patterns, the use of bodice patterns according to body type can be suggested as a rational solution under the circumstances of this transition period. The method of research is as follows. First, the bodice patterns of 13 Korean upper garments were compared. Second, relations among body parts that can be indexes for designing upper garment patterns were researched. Third, pattern calculation formula for designing the bodice patterns of this research were systemized according to types of physical shapes from previous study results. Furthermore, pattern calculation formulas needed for designing the bodice patterns of categorized and systemized into formulas for five physical shapes. Samples were designed and analyzed. It is hoped that this research will be used as a basic reference on bodice patterns according to body types when designing fractionalized bodice patterns in the future.

본 연구는 국내 20대 여성의 체형별 상의원형 패턴에 관한 연구이다. 연구의 목적은 단일 원형과 체형 사이의 오차를 최소화하기 위한 방안으로서, 체형별 상의원형 패턴을 통해 단일 원형의 한계점을 극복하고자 하였다. 따라서 대량생산의 효율성과 개인별 체형의 차이성을 현실적으로 만족시킬 수 있는 최선안은 패턴의 세분화로 결론지을 수 있으며, 미래에 실현될 3D패턴의 상용화에 앞서 체형별 원형패턴의 활용은 과도기적인 상황 하에서의 합리적인 방안으로 제시할 수 있다. 그러므로 매스커스터마이제이션 시대의 패턴에 관한 소비자의 요구를 가장 적절한 방법으로 적용시킬 수 있는 체형별 상의원형 패턴의 제작과 그에 관한 관계식의 설정은 시기적인 상황을 고려할 때 의미가 있는 일이라 판단된다. 연구의 방법은 첫째, 국내에서 사용되는 13종의 상의원형 패턴을 비교하고, 둘째, 상의원형 패턴 설계의 관계식 설정에 기준이 될 수 있는 채촌 부위별 상호연관성에 관하여 연구하였으며, 셋째, 앞서의 내용을 토대로 연구원형 설계를 위한 패턴 계산식을 체형별로 체계화하였고, 또한 이러한 패턴 계산식을 토대로 연구 실험복을 제작, 분석 평가하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 체형별 상의원형 패턴에 관한 연구로서 향후 세분화 원형패턴의 설계를 위한 기초 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.
