The goal of this research was to closely examine whether or not there are differences on perceived health states, physical self-efficacy and happiness according to sex and stage of change for exercise behavior in university students. The subjects of this study were 609 students(male: 289, female: 320). The SPSS version 15.0 for windows were used to perform frequency, descriptive analysis, two-way ANOVA. From the analysis of the data, the following conclusions of this research were obtained. First, the male students was found to be higher perceived health states than female students on unversity and the higher students were on stage of change for exercise behavior, the higher they perceived health states. Second, the male students was found to be higher perceived physical skill than female students and the higher students were on stage of change for exercise behavior, the higher they considered perceived physical skill. And the male students was found to be higher physical self-expression confidence than female students and there was no significant difference according to stage of change for exercise behavior. Third, there was no significant difference according to sex. and the higher students were on stage of change for exercise behavior, the higher they perceived physical skill.
