The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in leisure benefits based on disposition of participation in a billiard activity. The subjects were selected by the convenience sampling method. They were composed of 364 people who had been participating in billiard activity. The questionnaire consisted of demographic characteristics, disposition participant, and leisure benefit(Lee, 2007). In consequence of the exploratory factor analysis, 5 sub-factors(leisure benefit) were found. Cronbach’s α coefficient were .663∼.933. For the statistical analysis, SPSS 18.0 was utilized. The relationships between research variables were examined by the frequency, exploratory factor, reliability, independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, Two-way ANOVA analysis. The significance level of all tests was p<.05. The findings were as follows: First, based on the demographic characteristics, the difference in leisure benefit of billiard sports participants were identified. There were significant differences in psychological, self improvement and growth, personal satisfaction, physical, and social leisure benefit along with gender. There were also significant differences in psychological, self improvement and growth, personal satisfaction, physical, and social benefit along with age. And there were significant differences on psychological, self improvement and growth, personal satisfaction, physical, and social benefit regarding participation career. Second, based on the participation disposition, the difference in leisure benefit of billiard sports participants were identified. Ther136e were significant differences in psychological, self improvement and growth, personal satisfaction, physical, and social leisure benefit along with participation type. There were also significant differences in psychological, self improvement and growth, personal satisfaction, physical, and social benefit based on playing for money. And participation partner had significant differences on psychological, self improvement and growth, personal satisfaction, physical, and social benefit. Finally, in terms of the relationship between demographic characteristics, participation disposition and leisure benefit, gender and participation partner had significant differences on leisure benefit. Participation type and playing for money had si136gnificant differences on leisure benefit. Participation career and game money of day were significant differences on leisure benefit.
