Analysis and Experimental Study on Fire Resistance of Load-bearing Walls Made up of Light-gauge Steel
초록
영어
Steel framed house made up of light gauge steels regarded as an alternative to meet the fast construction and high quality for the detached house, warehouse, and etc since the late of 1990's. The steel stud and steel joist applied as primary member and the finishing materials such as gypsum board, plywood would be attached on the frame and to satisfy the insulation and acoustic performance mineral wool would be applied into space between the finishing materials. One hour fire resistance is essential when the steel framed house is utilized to the building beyond fourth stories and multi-house occupancy. The purpose of this paper is to show the possibility to expect one hour fire resistance after reviewing the fire resistance performance caused from heat transfer analysis using FEM and that came from load-bearing fire tests, respectively. The surface temperatures from analysis with the models consisted of 140SL10 filled with mineral wool fully and partially and without mineral wool and two layer of fire resistance gypsum boards showed below the allowable temperature, 538℃ and the fire tests conducted using specimens made of the same structure used to analysis showed over 1 hour.
