This study intends to examine the characteristics and Layout of Gyeongryeon-jeon area in the Goryeo dynasty palace on the basis of the excavation details. Gyeongryeon-jeon is the main sanctuary where portraits of King Taejo and four successive kings were placed. It is estimated to be established around 1019-1023 during the reign of King Hyeonjong in the same period of the establishment of Hoigyeong-jeon. The floor plan corresponds with the ceremony of Hoigyeong-jeon described in『Goryeosa』(History of Goryeo). The ancestral tablets were enshrined in separate room in a single building and 5 rooms were prepared. As to the arrangement of the tablets, the tablet of King Taejo was positioned in the center with four successive kings on the left and right sides of the tables, which is confirmed as a Somokje arrangement. The measuring unit of scale used for the building site and whole layout was 31.2cm per Units. The building was deliberately placed by four corridors from all quarters, and No.18 building site is planned to be in the center.

본 연구는 발굴조사내용을 토대로 고려 본궐 경령전 일곽의 성격과 배치특성을 살펴 본 연구이다. 경령전은 고려 태조와 역대왕의 사친의 영정을 모신 고려 본궐 내에 설치한 진전(眞殿)으로 그 초창 시기는 건란족의 침략 이후인 현종대 1019~1023년 사이로 추정되며, 회경전 일곽의 건립과 동일한 시기에 이루어진 것으로 판단된다. 평면구성은『고려사』제61권 지15 경령전에 보이는 예식행위와 일치하며 단일건물에 각각의 실을 두어 신위를 봉안할 수 있도록 하였으며, 5개의 실을 마련하였다. 신위의 배열에 있어서는 건물의 중앙칸에 태조의 신위를 모시고 좌우측면에 4대조의 위패를 모시는 소목제의 신위 배열로 확인되었다. 영조척은 1척 312mm로 확인되었다. 배치구성은 동, 서, 남, 북회랑으로 위요되는 계획적인 배치를 확인 할 수 있었으며, 18번 건물이 그 중심에 위치하도록 계획하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 앞으로 건축세부요소에 대한 복원적 연구로 접근하고자 한다.
