TRIZ, first proposed by Russian inventors in 1946 as a "Theory of Inventive Problem Solving", is conceptually appropriate in product design as well. In this paper, we propose a conceptual model for a cup that removes moist after washing with TRIZ method. Typically after washing a cup one put it straight or upside-down. If it is put straight, the remaining water is collected and if it is upside-down, it may cause sanitary problem since as times goes, there will be limited drainage and ventilation inside the cup blocked with the basement. In this paper, we develop and analyze an idea for solving this problem and evaluate it with TRIZ and investigate the possibility of having patent through patent search.

제품 디자인에 있어서 아이디어 발생을 이해하고 그로부터 TRIZ를 활용한 디자인 아이디어 발상 개념 모델을 제안한다. 본 연구에서는 일상에서 자주 쓰는 컵을 세척 후 바로 놓으면 컵 안에 물이 고이게 되고, 뒤집어 놓으면 컵과 바닥면 사이가 밀폐되어 배수 및 환기가 되지 않아 습기가 차고 냄새가 나는 등 위생의 문제가 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 아이디어를 개발하고 분석하고 트리즈방법에 따른 평가를 하였다. 또한 이런 아이디어가 특허로서 등록이 될수 있는지 신규성을 특허 검색을 통하여 특허성 조사를 병행하였다.
