This study is empirical analysis on the role of the church about community network construction of community child center. The purpose of the study is to determine whether community child centers should be construct to provide effectual and efficient child welfare services. Data were collected through a survey of 267 cases within the Jeon-Bok region. Frequencies and Chi-Square tests were used to analyze the relationship of one group to another, and t-tests, anovas and regressions were used to confirm the average difference between other groups and variables. The major results of this survey are as follows. First, it is obvious that perception of a community child center showed low among the child agency workers. Second, the present location of the community network agency is usually within a public organization, such as municipal, county or village office. Third, the present condition of the community network program is poor in the principal food, volunteer, learning and clothes supporting services. Fourth, the extent of the public administration agency’s network was high as a whole. Fifth, program satisfaction for parents was related to the need for community network and the degree of community agency°Øs network; program satisfaction for children was related to proportion of the public administrations agency’s network. Sixth, In order to provide more professional, the role of the church about community network construction of community child center is very important. Community child center needs to be transformed to a more quality-based network as well as a more diversified community network.

본 연구는 지역아동센터가 빈곤아동과 소외아동들에게 효과적이고 효율적인 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 교회를 중심으로 지역사회 네트워크구축을 활성화하는 것이 바람직하다는 목적을 가지고 수행한 실증연구이다. 본 연구의 조사지역은 전라북도 지역아동센터근무자와 관련기관근무자 등 총 267명을 대상
으로 조사하여 다양한 변수들을 분석하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻게 되었다. 첫째, 지역아동센터 관련근무자들을 대상으로 조사한 지역아동센터 인지도는 낮게 조사되었다. 둘째, 지역아동센터 네트워크구축의 기관현황은 시·군청·동사무소 등 공공기관과의 구축이 대부분이었고, 교회, 아동전문 상담기관, 학교, 사회복지관, 기업체, 법률기관 등과의 지역사회 네트워크구축은 미약하게 조사되었다. 셋째, 지역아동센터에서 제공하고 있는 서비스별 구축정도는 주·부식서비스, 자원봉사 학습지원, 건물관리, 피복제공순으로 조사되었지만 전반적으로 낮게 교류되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 행정기관과의 네트워크는 대상아동의 의뢰에서 재정지원까지 비교적 활발한 것으로 조사되었다. 다섯째, 지역아동센터 프로그램별 만족이 지역사회 네트워크 교류정도에 미치는 영향분석에서는 부모관련 프로그램만족이 지역주민네트워크 필요성과 지역사회기관과의 교류정도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었고, 아동지원프로그램은 행정기관네트워크 교류에 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통하여 아동들의 전문적이고 입체적인 서비스제공을 위하여 현재의 양적인 행정기관중심의 네트워크를 질적인 네트워크구축으로 전환해야 하며 교회 등의 민간기관과의 네트워크 구축도 확대 강화해야 할 것이다.
