This article is the criticism of Kim Jong Sam's poet which includes on his poets, so that I light intention of his poet and How He discribed his feelings with his poet. in late, people are very interested in his poets and There are many researchers of Them with quality and quantity. But the Boundary is The early day researchers, such as Kim Hyeon, Hwang Donggyu, Kim Juyeon and so It only includes just The feature of description, The esthetics of moderation and space, disharmony of The world, tragic recognition, and an afterimage, Because It is difficult to make accession with logic although There is a essence of poet Beyond logic, He focused on illogical conceptions. He would like to create New meaning. He prescribed The intention of poet, refering Paul Valery and Rainer Maria Rilke. He faced capitalism and imperialism which were made by western civilization through poverty and death, and They bring our people to despair and agony and make our people live hard therefore, He created New term of poet in order for it to spread our country and root in our nation. And I wrote this paper, including at least, preconceptions that Valery and Rilke's poet was based on the morden self and world, and The essence of lingual body. I investigate what is The new meanings which Kim Jong Sam refered to and How they worked or each poet and I wish to analize the new meanings and I wish to know How they are distorted.

본고는 김종삼의 시론이라고 할 수 있는 <의미의 백서>와 그가 생전에 남긴 몇 편의 산문을 통해 그의 시적 의도를 규명해보고, 그 의도가 시 쓰기에 어떻게 반영되었는지를 밝히는데 목적을 둔다. 최근 들어 김종삼 시에 대한 연구가 활발해지면서 그에 대한 연구는 양적으로나 질적으로 상당한 부피를 이루고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 연구가 초기의 김현, 황동규, 김주연 등의 연구에 의존하고 있어서, 묘사의 특징, 절제와 여백의 미학, 잔상효과, 비극적 세계인식, 자아와 세계와의 불화, 환상 미학의 범주에서 크게 벗어나지 못하고 있다. 그러나 김종삼은 발레리와 릴케를 언급하면서 자신의 시적 의도를 규정지었다. 서구의 근대사회가 만들어낸 거대한 욕망의 얼굴(제국주의와 식민지적 근대성)들을 전쟁과 가난과 죽음을 통해 대면하고, 그 욕망의 덩어리가 우리 민족에게 안겨 준 절망과 고통의 시간들을 살아가면서, 그에 대응할 수 있는 새로운 시언어로 사랑의 의미를 이 땅에 뿌리고 심었다. 그래서 본고는 김종삼의 시를 이해하기 위한 최소한의 선이해를 위해 발레리와 릴케의 시적 사유의 토대가 된 근대적 자아와 근대적 세계, 그리고 이에 대응하는 언어체계의 본질을 개괄한다. 그리고 김종삼 시인이 언급하고 있 ‘새로운 언어’의 의미가 무엇인지를 살펴보고, 그의 시언어가 개개의 시편 속에서 어떤 기제로 작용하고 있는지를 분석하면서 김종삼 연구에 관한 기존의 논의가 얼마나 왜곡되어 있었는지를 고찰한다.
