The purpose of this paper is to appreciate the determinants of the self-supporting program effectiveness of the self-supporting program participants. In order to this purpose, this paper surveys participants' characteristics, self-supporting program's characteristics, and their attitudes on self-supporting program. The subject of this paper is self-supporting program participants in Changwon, Masan, and Jinhae region, who are on 400 persons. Summarizing the results of this survey, the determinants of self-supporting participation effectiveness of self-supporting programs participants are statistically examined as 8 factors, which are sex, health condition, family size, participative reason of self-supporting program, participative term, program types, obstacles of self-sufficiency. Such determinants are certificated on multiple regression analysis, on which independent variables are changed as dummy variable.

본 논문은 창원, 마산 및 진해 지역을 중심으로 지역자활센터 및 읍면동사무소에서 시행하고 있는 자활근로사업에 참여하고 있는 자를 대상으로 자활사업에 대한 참여효과성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보았다. 이와 관련하여 본 논문에서는 자활사업에 대한 참여효과성에 영향을 미치는 독립변수를 다중회귀분석을 통하여 확인하는 작업을 진행하였다. 참여효과성에 대한 개념도 조작화를 통하여 3 가지의 하위 구성개념으로 재구분, 독립변수도 더미변수화하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 34개의 독립변수로서의 더미변수와 참여효과성의 3 가지의 구성 개념과의 관계를 통계자료를 밝히고 있다.
