This Thesis is is a review statement on the article, "Locality and Humanities". Here I hope to cover topics is the meeting of Humanities and locality. To be successful, this meeting should have a synergistic combination of both. In this regard, this thesis raises develope the following three claims. ① The crisis of humanities is related to the globalization of capital. Thus, a study on locality will have to overcome the canonizing of humanities and restore the power of practice and critical functions. ② because it requires reflective capabilities in order to demonstrate the subversive potential of humanities. ③ For that reason, the Locality Humanities should be maintain the unique features of humanities as a critical objective. Finally, this thesis propose that it needs to laid the ontological foundation for space itself and explore on the nine kinds of combinations of concepts about space, absolute-experienced space, absolute- conceptualized space, absolute-lived space, relative-experienced space, relative-conceptualized space, relative-conceptualized space, relational-experienced space, relational-conceptualized space, relational- lived space in order to develop the Locality Humanities into the localitology.

이 글은 ｢로컬리티와 인문학｣이라는 글에 대한 논평문이다. 여기서 다루고자 하는 주제는 로컬리티와 인문학의 만남이다. 이 만남이 성공적이기 위해서는 양자의 만남이 시너지효과를 발휘해야 한다. 이와 관련하여 이 논문은 다음의 세 가지 주장을 제기하고 있다. ① 인문학의 위기는 자본의 지구화와 관련되어 있다. 따라서 로컬리티에 대한 연구는 인문학의 정전화를 극복하고 실천적이고 비판적 기능을 회복하게 할 것이다. 왜냐 하면 ② 로컬리티가 가지고 있는 전복적 잠재력을 지켜내기 위해서는 인문학의 성찰적 기능이 필요하기 때문이다. 또한, 그렇기 때문에 ③ 로컬리티의 인문학은 로컬-로컬리티에 대한 일방적인 찬양 또는 신비화 대신에 로컬-로컬리티에 대한 비판적인 객관화라는 인문학 고유의 기능을 유지해야 한다. 이와 더불어 마지막으로 이 논문은 로컬리티의 인문학이 ‘로컬리톨로지’가 되기 위해서는 공간 그 자체에 대한 존재론적 정초가 필요하다고 주장하면서 절대-경험, 절대-개념, 절대-체험, 상대-경험, 상대-개념, 상대-체험. 관계-경험, 관계-개념, 관계-체험 등 9개의 공간 개념의 조합들에 대한 탐구를 제안하고 있다.
