G. Deleuze's Cinema is a difficult book of cinema philosophy structured one by the thoughts of various philosophers such as Bergson, Kant. Peirce, and Spinoza; and another by tremendous volume of several movies and countless number of movie theories. Thus this paper is on the track of the transforming process of Delueze and Bergson's content and study to demonstrate Bergson's research from the beginning of Deleuze's early writings to Cinema, the critical foundation of its movie. Especially I focused on his writings like Bergsonism and Difference and Repetition; and lastly I commented shortly on Cinema. In Bergsonism, I investigated the effects of Bergson influenced on ontology of difference; and in Difference and Repetition, I mainly explicated the concept of intensity and recognition in which Deleuze took over as well as criticized Bergson's thoughts. And in Cinema, I demonstrated what significance of "Movement-Image and Time-Image" can hold which was formed by the effects of Bergson. This paper, however, takes on a different characteristics for the preparation of more specific and profound research. Because of that, somebody has to grab an opportunity for deeper study about Cinema.

질 들뢰즈의 『시네마』는 방대한 양의 각종 영화와 수많은 영화이론을 한 축으로 하고, 베르그송과 칸트 그리고 퍼스와 스피노자 등 여러 철학자들의 사상을 다른 한 축으로 하여 구축된 난해한 영화철학서이다. 본 논문은 『시네마』의 중요한 바탕을 이루고 있는 베르그송에 대한 연구를 하기 위해, 들뢰즈의 초기 저작으로부터 시작하여 『시네마』에 이르기까지, 들뢰즈의 베르그송에 대한 연구의 내용과 그 변화의 과정을 추적한 것이다. 특히 『베르그송주의』와 『차이와 반복』을 중심으로 살펴보고, 마지막에 『시네마』에 대해서는 간략하게 언급하였다. 『베르그송주의』에서는 들뢰즈의 ‘차이의 존재론’에 끼친 베르그송의 영향을 살펴보았고, 『차이와 반복』에서는 들뢰즈가 베르그송의 사상을 계승하면서도 비판하는 지점을 ‘재인’과 ‘강도’라는 개념으로 파악하여 살펴보았다. 그리고 『시네마』에서는 베르그송의 영향으로 형성된 개념인 ‘운동-이미지’와 ‘시간-이미지’가 영화의 쇼트와 관련하여 어떤 의미를 갖는지 규명해 보았다. 하지만 본 연구는 『시네마』에 대한 구체적이고 심도 있는 연구를 하기 위한 준비 작업을 성격을 띠고 있기 때문에, 『시네마』속에 드러난 들뢰즈의 베르그송에 대한 상세한 연구는 다음의 과제로 미루어 두었다.
