Law school will open in March 2009. LEET(Legal Education Eligibility Test) is a requirement test like LAST in the United States. Some philosophers argue that legal mind is logical mind. They emphasize the test of logical thinking as an aim of LEET. However, I cannot fully agree with this view. Legal mind is more than logical thinking. LEET cannot evaluate legal mind because this mind should be cultivated in the education of law school. LEET should test a grounding of legal mind. It is related to communication ability and critical thinking. Philosophers who are involved in the management of LEET should study various abilities related to legal reasoning in order to improve the credibility of LEET. In addition, professors of law should participate in the management of LEET like making questions. Especially, writing will be graded by them. If so, they should participate in the process of selecting paragraphs given in the exam and making questions in the writing test. The introduction of law school system will make the education of philosophy change. Professors of philosophy should develop the educational programs and methods of critical or philosophical thinking for non-philosophy majors, which have different educational purposes from those for philosophy majors.

법학전문대학원 시행에 따라, 입학을 위해서는 LEET가 요구된다. 몇몇 철학전공자들은 리걸 마인드는 로지컬 마인드라고 주장하며, LEET의 목적은 논리적 사고력의 평가에 있다고 말한다. 그러나 필자는 이런 견해에 완벽히 동의할 수는 없다. 리걸 마인드는 논리적 사고력 이상이기 때문이다. 리걸 마인드는 법학전문대학원 교육과정에서 법학 지식과 함께 형성될 수밖에 없다. 따라서 LEET가 평가해야 하는 것은 리걸 마인드의 소양이다. 리걸 마인드의 소양은 의사소통능력과 비판적 사고능력과 밀접히 관련이 있다. LEET에 관여하고 있는 철학전공자들은 법적 추론과 관련된 능력들에 대해 연구할 필요가 있다. 이것은 LEET의 효용성과 신뢰성을 증진시키는 데 기여할 것이다. 뿐만 아니라 법학교수들이 논술 채점의 임무를 맡은 이상, 논술출제에 관여해야 하는 것은 당연하며, 다른 영역의 시험에도 법학교수들이 참여할 필요가 있다. 법학전문대학원의 도입은 철학교육이 변화하게 할 것이다. 철학교수들은 일반 학생들을 위한 교과목 개발과 교육방법 개발에 관심을 지녀야할 것이며, 이들을 위한 교육은 철학전공 학생들을 위한 교육과는 다른 교육목표를 설정하는 것이 바람직하다.
