Whether in oriental philosophy or in western philosophy, the main stream of philosophy had repressed and excluded desire as the other of philosophy. In particular, Platon established logocentric discourse of desire which tried to control and govern desire by reason. This logocentric discourse of desire had dominated until Hegel during 2500 years. This treatise is an attempt to present new possibility of discourse of desire by overcoming this logocentric discourse of desire. For this, I examined discourses of desire of Platon, Hegel, Lacan, Deleuze and Masahiro. After examining their discourses of desire, I suggested five clues for new possibility of discourse of desire. First, consider desire as life's motive power. Second, Recognize the various faces of desire. Third, understand the way in which desire comes into existence and is transformed socially. Fourth, empty your mind. Fifth, convert desire of body into desire of life.

서양철학에서든지 동양철학에서든지 간에, 그 주류는 욕망을 철학의 타자로서 억압하고 배제해 왔다. 특히 서양철학에서는 플라톤이 욕망을 결핍으로서 해석하여 욕망을 죄악시하였다. 그리하여 플라톤은 이성에 의해 욕망을 제어하고 지배하려는 로고스중심주의적 욕망담론을 수립하였다. 이러한 로고스중심주의적 욕망담론은 헤겔에 이르기까지 2500 년 동안 서양철학을 지배해 왔다. 이 글은 이러한 로고스중심주의적 욕망담론을 극복함으로써 욕망담론의 새로운 가능성을 제시해 보려는 시도이다. 이를 위해서, 플라톤, 헤겔, 라캉, 들뢰즈 그리고 마사히로의 욕망담론이 검토되었다. 이들의 욕망담론이 검토된 뒤에 이 글에서 새로운 욕망담론의 가능성을 위한 다섯 개의 단초들이 제시되었다. 첫째로, 욕망을 삶의 원동력으로서 긍정적으로 간주하라. 둘째로, 욕망의 다양한 얼굴을 인정하라. 셋째로, 어떻게 욕망이 사회적으로 생겨나고 변형되는 방식을 파악해라. 넷째로, 마음을 비워라. 다섯째로, 몸의 욕망을 생명의 욕망으로 전환하라.
