A few months ago, Korean red supporters amazed the world. It is the wonderful reality which is based on the communistic principle of Korean. What happened in June, 2002 in Korea? In Korean history, there are the cheers and the deep emotion of liberation, the resistance of people's power(namely, the spring in 1980 and the summer in 1987) and the many loyal volunteered army.
According to Korean history, the Korean has built up the human community with the spirit of Han(one for all, all for one). Probably, it is like the identity of Korea and Korean. Finally, It is connected with the future and the characters of Korean culture.
All the consciousness of group is unconscious. There is the spiritual world of self identity in the unconsciousness. In the spiritual world of Korean, we can find the mind of grief and the satisfaction of evolution, the oneness and the emotion of harmony. There is the thought of 'Woori'(you and me, I and you are the one) in Korean.
It represents the cultural code of Korean oneness with the idea of Hongik-Inkan(􈻷􈥑􈥖間; extension of human welfare). I encounter you. You meet me. And then, You and I become the 'we'. So 'we' are the plural name in English. But the 'Woori' of Korean is not the plural but the singular name. In this case, the 'Woori' means the whole oneness. So Korean say that I am a 'Woori', you are a 'Woori', we are a 'Woori', all we are the 'Woori'.
When we say that the language express the spirit, the language of 'Woori' presents the Korean mind and culture. The culture of 'Woori' is the life and the language of the Korean. And this cultural mind has based on the idea of Hongik-Inkan. So I can say that the idea of Hongik-Inkan is the communistic consciousness of the Korean.
In June, 2002 in Korea, the one mind of 'Woori' is realized by Korean beyond the disruption. From this, 'Woori' has harmonized the disunion and has become the one. I live with you. You save me. As so, the world save human-beings and we live with the world. Thus I and the world become the 'Woori'.
Like this, everything has related each other with vital energy. So if you don't live, also I will die. Now the 21th century is the age of one global society. Now We need the human culture of the tolerance and the philosophy of the open world. We must think the principle of the coexistence and co-prosperity. So we must build the new human life culture and the new wonderful world. In this present condition, I suggest the Han, 'Woori' and the idea of Hongik-Inkan as the dynamic life principle.

문얼마 전 한민족은 붉은 응원단의 폭발적인 열기에 힘입어 전 세계사람들의 환호와 탄성을 자아낸 바 있다. 그런데 도대체 그 무엇이 이런 놀라운 사건을 만들어내게 했는가. 해방 후의 감격과 환호, 80년의 봄과 87년의 여름이라는 시민항쟁, 민주적 정권교체의 힘, 무수한 의병들의 존재를 통해 숱한 난리를 겪으면서도 결코 무너지지 않았던, 한국 아니 한국인의 참모습, 한민족은 멸사봉공(滅私奉公)의 정신으로 공동체와 함께 했음을 한민족사는 기록하고 있다. 다만 이 같은 현상과 사회문화의 배후에 숨겨진 힘 또는 한국문화와 그 정신의 실체에 대해, 이제는 이해할 때라고 생각한다. 이 같은 정신은 한민족문화의 자기 정체성과 연결된다. 모든 집단의식은 무의식적이며, 여기에는 반드시 자기 이해의 정신세계가 있다. 이 같은 정신세계에서 한국인의 한(恨)과 풀이의 한마당 그리고 하나됨과 어울림의 정서를 발견할 수 있는 것이다. 민족적 통합이 보여준 거대한 인간 정신의 결집은 다양한 개별성이 전체로 녹아드는, 정녕 21세기 새로운 문명이 지향해야 할 화합과 전진의 메시지에 분명하다. 새롭게 시작되는 21세기는 지금까지의 물질적 토대 위에서 새로운 정신문화의 신세계로의 변혁을 생각해야만 할 때이다.
