This paper presents a study on the use of security standards in the context of serviceoriented architectures with the goal of testing which are more costly in terms of performance in building secure Web services. Security policies applied to web services are evaluated through application development, testing and performance evaluation. The results of this preliminary study will be used in the near future to create service level agreements in an SOA with a focus on quality of service called WSARCH (Web Services Architecture). The current prototype of this architecture already allows studies to accurately verify which security techniques have low impact in relation to performance.
