Literature and Space : A Theoretical Research

The study on the space in literature means a research on the New Space that is created by readers understanding and authors will. The literary space is a point of contact in which production and consumption in literature react on each other. Here the following three levels must be considered; 1) the literary space as a space of text itself, and 2) the authors experienced space in writing, and 3) the geographical space as a background or a description in the work. In other words, 1) the literary space as a space of text itself (1) the structure of test (2) the narrative space of the incidents 2) the geographical space (1) the reconstruction of authors experience (2) the thing of reflection or the origin of text After all, for the study of literary space to come to be important, the value and historical meaning of it must be researched. For example, we are concerned about how a room, a house, a garden, a tree of village, a sea, a road, a plain, and an open space can be meaningful in association with the authors experience and geography. And we are studying on how these things have been historically transformed. Here after, the study on the literary space shall enlarge its object and scope in the concrete texts, and take into consideration the thematic and historical viewpoints. Moreover, this kind of study shall be done in the context of the structurization of the contemporary problems by analyzing the political and social and cultural environment of our country.
