This study is on the process and results of university admission evaluation of “A” University that announced the self-directed learning as an important element in the student admission evaluation during the Year 2010 university admission evaluation. The study is also based on the interviews with the students who have passed the admission officer evaluation of the same university. According to the analysis results of admission officer evaluation of the case university on the self-directed learning, the evaluation result on the superior self-directed learning had the biggest impact in both 1st stage evaluation and 2nd stage evaluation. Therefore, the evaluation on the self-directed learning can be utilized as a valid evaluation element that have enough differentiation capability for the selection of students who are fit to the requirement of universities. The analysis results of this study can contribute in the establishment of improvement- direction of evaluation method on self-directed learning. It would further make the high school curriculum to have more integrity, reduce the private education burden of parents and enhance the justification extent of student evaluation results by admission officers.

본 연구는 2010학년도 대학입학전형 중 자기주도학습을 주요한 학생선발 준거로 제시한 A대학 의 입학사정관전형 선발 과정과 결과, 그리고 사례 대학의 입학사정관전형 합격생과 인터뷰를 실 시하였다. 사례 대학의 자기주도학습 입학사정관전형을 분석한 결과, 1단계 전형과 2단계 전형에서 자기주도학습 우수성에 대한 평가결과가 합격여부에 가장 큰 영향력을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 자기주도학습에 대한 평가는 대학이 선발하고자 하는 학생을 적합하게 선발할 수 있는 변 별력을 갖춘 평가요소로 활용이 가능하다. 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 고등학교 교육과정의 충실화, 사교육비 부담 감소, 입학사정관전형의 학생 선발 결과타당도를 제고할 수 있는 자기주도학습 평 가방법의 개선방향에 기여하고자 한다.
