The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between exercise type and mental health in patricipants of sports for all. For this purpose, the subjects of this study were 315 adults in seoul city with using purposeful sampling method. The instruments used the multidimensional body-self relation questionnaire(MBSRQ) of Cash(2000) and the symptom checklist -90- revision(SCL-90-R) which modified the tools of Derogatis, Rickles & Rock(1976). The statistical techniques used for the analysis of this study were indepdent t-test and simple regression analysis by using SPSS WIN 15.0 version(a = . 05). The implications of this study are as follows; First, non-competitive exercise positively influence on depression and anxiety, body image. Second, both competitive exercise and non-competitive exercise positively influence on depression and anxiety, body image.

ABSTRACT
