This study focuses on development and effect of program that improves self-esteem and sports psychology skill for the improvement of self-esteem of professional youth athletes. For this study, 15 students of judo club of Seoul physical education middle school are participating on this study. The procedure of study consists of 3 steps that are the development of program for the improvement of self-esteem, application, and effect verification. The program is developed with precedence study and consultation with professional, and following effect is verified after the application of program that consists of 10 frequencies. For the analyzation of effect about the program of improvement for self-esteem, the qualitative analysis of activity paper for each frequency by participants, question paper by Hee hwa, Kim (1998), and question paper of sport psychology skills by Jin, Yoo and Jung hun, Huh (2002) are used for the performance of action example t-verification with statistic program SPSS 18.0 for measured score of the examination for previousness, post-peroid , and retention. Following results from this study are on the next. First, overall improvement of average score of the self-esteem is occurred from post-period examination of self-esteem. Looking subordinate factors, the examination of post-period and retention shows meaningful difference that is higher than that of previousness examination. Second, through the application of program of improvement for self-esteem, sports psychology skill shows partially meaningful difference. Average score is improved after the application of program, which is higher than before the application. Also, confidence, anxiety control, and image ability show meaningful difference.
