The effect of the Taekwondo student-athletes’ study participation on career-attitude-maturity in secondary school

This study aims to provide basic data and information for middle and high school students to adjust to school life, to continue high-quality athletic career. And also it aims to improve athletic systems by analyzing and establishing the relationships between demographic characteristics and the attitude of future career maturity. To achieve these aims, a total of 260 students were selected as stratified cluster random sampling, made up 130 male and female middle school students and 130 male and female high school students who doing Taekwondo in 2010. The data was analyzed to prove how much middle and high school students’ demographic characteristics affects on learning attitude and future career attitude by using descriptive statistics analysis, t-verification, and analysis of variation of the whole area. Also, to find a correlation between middle and high school students’ learning attitude and future career attitude Correlations Analysis of “Pearson Method” and to find the effect of learning attitude on future career attitude regression analysis was used. The results are as follows. First, students’ learning attitude are affected partly according to demographic characteristics of middle and high school students. Especially, the male students, the middle school students, the students of the middle level of the record and the students whose parents are college graduates or even more are highly attend in their learning. Second, students’ future career attitude are affected according to demographic characteristics of middle and high school students. Especially, the male students, the high school students, the students of the high level of the record, and the students whose parents are graduates have good future career attitude. Third, students’ learning attitude partly have an effect on their future career attitude. Especially, learning attitude are in direct proportion to future their career attitude in general.
