In the present study, we investigated how resilient adolescents differ from maladaptive peers who have not succeeded in the context of adversity and from competent peers who are also successful but have not experienced adversity. We assumed that the psychological variables that differentiate resilient adolescents from maladaptive and competent adolescents count as protective factors. Data were classified into the three groups with a consideration of two criteria; being exposed to one of the family risk factors and their level of adjustment. To measure adjustment, we used the college scholastic ability test in Korea and the ratings on maladaptive behavior like an outcast at school, truancy and disciplinary action. Results indicated, there were signigicant differences in mother's rearing attitude, teacher's support, satisfaction about school, internal motive, self-efficacy, self-assurance, self-understanding, learning method, the attitude to class between the resilient and the maladaptive groups.

본 연구는 가정 환경적 위험요소에 노 출되었음에도 불구하고 적응수준을 보이 는 적응 유연한 청소년들이 어떠한 보호 요소를 지니고 있는지를 탐색하였다. 고 등학생 3학년을 대상으로 위험요소 노출 여부와 학교부적응, 수능성적에 따른 적 응수준을 고려하여 적응유연 청소년, 고 위험 청소년, 유능 청소년의 세 집단으로 분류하였다. 그리고 이들 집단 간에 가족 적 보호요소(대화시간, 양육태도), 사회 환경적 보호요소(학교환경, 교사의 지지, 학교만족도) 및 개인적 보호요소(내적동 기, 외적동기, 자기이해, 자기 확신, 자기 효능감, 수업태도, 학습방법)에서의 차이 를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 적응 유연한 청소년들은 고위험 청소년들에 비해 모 의 양육태도, 교사의 지지, 내적동기, 자 기이해, 자기 확신, 자기 효능감, 수업태 도, 학습방법 등에서 각각 통계적으로 유 의하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
