This study aimed to deduce common points and different points between Egyptian hieroglyph and Chinese characters by comparing the meaning elements of Egyptian Hieroglyph and those of Chinese characters, in particular, of which the meaning is related to inanimate object. For this, this paper compared 171 Chinese radicals(部首) from ‘Shuowenjiezi’(說文解字) and 175 determinatives of Egyptian Hieroglyph extracted from ‘List of Hieroglyphic Sign’(Alan Gardiner(1927)) which provides us with total number of 764 Egyptian Hieroglyphs following 26 themes.
