The Research of Cultural Contents on ｢Bogakgukjonbimyeong｣ Lee, Dong-geun․Jeong, Ho-whan The purpose of this thesis is drawing cultural contents & character of Ilyeon-the Most Reverend Priest(일연 국사)’s epigraph, Engraving place of Palmandaijanggyeong(팔만대장경) is Namhai and Ilyeon-the Most Reverend Priest leads engraving as Jeungeui(증의). The process of demonstration is ①investigation of historical background, ②episode & storytelling ③drawing character. The result of demonstration is followings. 1)Ilyeon-the Most Reverend Priest is priest & poet practicing Hongikingan (홍익인간) & national identity when Mongolia army invaded Korea & Choi’s family governed the country illegally. 2)Ilyeon-the Most Reverend Priest is a devoted son coming back home for support of his aged and sick old mother & excellant storyteller-korean Samacheon(사마천). 3)Palmandaijanggyeong(팔만대장경) engraved at Jeongnimsa(정림사) in Namhai(남해) by Ilyeon-the Most Reverend Priest not Soogi(수기) priest in Gangwhado(강화도) from the name of a place point of view. 4)Ilyeon-the Most Reverend Priest’s epigraph is devided with birth tale, growth tale, achievement tale, after death tale. the storytelling of the his epigraph is value as an cultural contents. Ilyeon-the Most Reverend Priest’s character is zen priest harmonizing with Zen Buddhism(선종) and dogmatic Buddhism(교종), a pioneer of national identity, is a devoted son. In a word, he is the greatest man that ever lived practicing Hongikingan(홍익인간). The remaining theme is the development of practical genre based on Ilyeon-the Most Reverend Priest(일연 국사)’s storytelling.
